Any weekday and twice on Sundays, Paul Delios will tell you his first love was pizza (and we’re damn lucky it’s an affair that never ended).

After five decades in kitchens, he’s perfected the crust that brought Little Paulie the most food joy, as well as countless other culinary creations in a career spanning his award-winning Boston-area eateries Paolo’s and Mezé.

Paolo’s is the first concept by Veloce Brands, LLC, the boutique restaurant group founded and co-owned by Delios (executive chef/chief operating officer) and 25-year food and lifestyle journalist, editor, and creative director Jen Chase-Corwin (chief word maven).

In this second incarnation of Delios’ original Paolo’s—open in Charlestown, Mass., in the early aughts—today’s Paolo’s delights our two favorite types of guests: folks craving a night in our swank, low-lit space with its buzzy Mediterranean vibe; and those who’d rather relax at home with the blissiest take-out along Boston’s north shore.
